The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
